yo! sorry about the cancellation...

The Marvelous 3

hey guys, it's butch here. been having computer troubles but i have fixed the problems. well, some of them, which brings me to the topic of the show in phoenix/tempe getting cancelled. first off, we play harder than any band out there (as you can probably see at our shows), and we give it our all every single night, without cancelling ANY shows, even if we are drop dead sick. well, we are drop dead sick. we started our tour with sr71 awhile back, and the dates got booked for too long, without any off days in between (most bands play about 5 shows a week, and then take a day off to rest, unless you're big like creed and all the others, then you can play, like, 3 shows a week, and golf the rest of the days off...). but with us, in order to meet the struggling demands and to make enough money to pay for being on the road, we had to play every fucking night! we played as many as 15 shows in a row, before getting a day off last month. and for this month, it's about the same. well, with this schedule, and constantly getting no sleep, comes the sick part. we all are passing around the flu. i lost my voice the other night in denver, and had 4 more shows in a row to do! so this leads me to the next conversation about that slack-ass, shitty promoter for the venue that we were supposed to play in phoenix/tempe/mesa the other night. i dont normally like to talk shit about people, but this motherfucker was telling everybody that we were too "snobby" to play, because of the lack of lights and sound production in the room. not true. my tour manager calls these places a week ahead to make sure they received our list of requirements for the show, and they go over eveything by phone, usually to somewhat professional people on the other end of the line, who dont even flinch at our very moderate tour list. but this guy was being a total dick to my tour manager and saying that we couldnt be let in the venue to set up and soundcheck until later in the day, "because that is how other bands around here do it". well, we have 3 fucking bands to soundcheck, and load-in, plus we carry a big rock show production, so that the fans can get a show for their money, and if we dont get let into the building by a certain time, than we screw everybody else out of soundchecks and load-ins, etc.. keep in mind this was also a last minute problem, because for some reason, two days ago, dynamite hack asked us if we would close all of these shows from now on, when they were supposed to be closing them everynight, because they have the big hit at radio. (keep in mind these guys are really kool and we dig them. we are not blaming them.) well, we gladly excepted, but that meant we had to call all of the clubs back and tell them that we needed to load in first (that's how it works yall.. you go on last, you soundcheck first, and so on...). well this asshole at the venue says they cant accomodate us on anything, and all the while i am thinking, "how am i gonna sing tonite anyway, being this sick? so the decision was made to cancel, due to overwhelming reason. but this motherfucker from the club is bashing us that night to everyone, just to look like the good guy. fuck that shit!!! if i ever see him or find out who he is, i will personally rip his head off..

whew!!! i feel better already! i just want to apologize to our fans, because you know we dont cancel shows unless there is ultimate reasons. this was one of them, and i hope anyone that came out will let us make it up to them, we will come back and play another venue for you i promise. also, for the comment about us needing a new booking agency, because of all the cancellations.... these dates were all booked by the other band's booking agency.

sorry once again, and we will always try to put on the best shows for you, and never compromise our performance or presentation. this was just a bad misconception. we love you and we will see you all on the road!take care yall!!!!!

2MR41H,
butch
