Marvelous 3 Offers 'Safe' Album Cover For 'ReadySexGo'

The cover for Marvelous 3's new album ReadySexGo is generating plenty of controversy due to its suggestive artwork. The cover features a female mannequin, sporting a fringed, bikini-style top and a G-string, with her hand between her legs. Many family-oriented stores refused to sell the album due to the provocative cover, so the band's label will soon issue an alternate.

Singer/songwriter Butch Walker told LAUNCH, "There's certain stores that won't even stock it because of that, but they'll sell f--king guns to kids!? Or they'll sell a Marilyn Manson. I don't know what the difference is between that or Marilyn Manson having fake boobs on his last album cover. But again, that's people looking at things at face value instead of taking the time to read into anything."

As for ReadySexGo's G-rated cover, Walker says, "There's going to be. In the next couple of weeks we are going to be issuing an alternative cover, a 'safe' cover for places that need it safe." So how does Walker feel about that? "I don't give a damn. I mean, why not? Two covers. Great. It'll be a collector's item maybe."

Marvelous 3 is currently on the road with SR-71 and Tsar. They hit New York City's Bowery Ballroom tonight (September 28).
