ReadySexGo Review

For those of you who don't know the Marvelous 3, I don't know that I can do a better job of mesmerizing you than the band themselves could so go out and buy it! For those of you that do know them, this album completely lives up to their previous work, and goes beyond it to convey a kind of passionate music, true rock music, that you don't see a lot of today. ReadySexGo is significantly different than either Hey! or Math and Other Problems, but it's still totally Marvelous, no hint of industrial tampering to please the masses. Every song is infused with Butch Walker's magic touch and you can be assured that they didn't tell me they "sold out". It's louder and more obnoxious and for any of you that have seen their live shows, you know that this is part of what makes them so special. They're completely relentless and unforgiving over the top. "Better Off Alone" and "Beautiful" are classic Marvie 3 that could easily have appeared on either of their previous albums. And songs like "Radio Tokyo", "I'm Losing You" and "Cigarette Lighter Love Song" truly show their growth as a band and their versatility in creating music that comes off as original and groundbreaking, while drawing on and paying tribute to the roots of rock and roll. I think the most special aspect of ReadySexGo is its believability. The band plays as though they mean every beat and Walker sings as though he means every word. And if the circumstances didn't happen to him, he makes you believe that they happened to somebody. If you don't already love them, I assure you that you will. And if you do, I assure you that you'll love them even more after purchasing this amazing album, this "rock epiphany of the new millennium", ReadySexGo.
